Later, when they had returned home, Jeremy was lying in bed after showering, staring at the ceiling, and trying to organize his thoughts.

Jo was still in the bathroom, showering. He wanted her in bed with him right away and at the same time, he was afraid of what would happen when she returned to the bedroom.

Presently the water stopped. A couple of minutes later Jo appeared from the bathroom, not in a towel or bathrobe, but naked, a towel wrapped around her head to keep her wet hair from flying about, dripping down her back.

She paused at the doorway, her hip cocked to the side.

He had never seen her so beautiful before. It was casual but somehow that made it sexier.

“I got tested last week,” she said. “Just to be sure. It was clean. I knew it would be. You should get tested too.”
